Ways To Set Your Luxury Vacation Villa Apart

Posted on

Do you own a vacation villa that you plan to rent out when you're not there? If so, you may have noticed there's some competition in the rental markets. Especially when it comes to luxury properties, renters can be pretty particular! So, how do you set your villa apart from the competition and make sure it's always booked? Here are some ideas.

Make sure the bathroom feels like a spa.

When someone is on vacation, they often want to start their mornings off slowly and really pamper themselves. This is easiest to do in a spa-style bathroom. So, put some effort into making the bathroom in your villa a truly relaxing, spa-like place. You could replace a plain tub or shower with a jacuzzi tub. A heated bathmat or even heated floors are also a nice touch. And make sure you include lots of spa-style products for your guests to use. Body washes, shampoos, lotions, and scrubs are nice. Leave a sign or a note to let guests know they can feel free to use these products.

Leave some champagne and glasses.

Leave a bottle of champagne and a few glasses on the counter or kitchen island. You could also leave some chocolate or candy. You want this to be one of the first things that guests see when they step inside. They can pour themselves a glass of champagne, kick back, and recover from their traveling as soon as they arrive.

Change the decor to suit the seasons.

It's a good idea to buy a few different sets of decor and change them out as the seasons allow. In the spring, you'll want some fresh, linen curtains and flowers for the table. In the summer, look for decor that uses warm colors like red and orange. And in the fall, items like cornstalks, pumpkins, and mums will look lovely. You can even buy more specific decor to put up around holidays. A few throw pillows or wall hangings can go a long way. Guests will enjoy walking into a space that looks like it has been intentionally decorated.

If you have a luxury villa and want to set it apart, you can rely on the ideas above. Make sure you post some updated photos in any ads you have on real estate and rental websites. Once guests know that they are getting something "extra" in your space, they'll book it over others.
